Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov has turned a new chapter in his career, with the 19-year-old superstar having joined Falcons.
In an interview with James Banks, the Russian AWPer opened up about the move, revealing that while there were other offers on the table, his mind was already made up.
– I had other offers. I can’t say who. But when I looked at other teams, there was only one team I wanted to join, and that was Falcons. I didn’t have that much belief in the other options, m0NESY said.

It’s no secret that m0NESY and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač built a strong bond during their time together in G2. That connection also played a major role in m0NESY’s decision to join Falcons, m0NESY explained in the interview.
– I wanted to play with NiKo, obviously. I believe we can win a lot of tournaments together, and finally get him a Major. Reuniting with NiKo was very important for me. We understand each other very well – in-game and outside the game. We’re very close in real life too, because of how much time we’ve spent together.
m0NESY also spoke about the chance to finally work with legendary coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen, something he has wanted since his time in NAVI Junior.
– When I was in NAVI Junior, I said in an interview that I wanted to work with zonic. You can find it somewhere – I said it. Now I had the opportunity, m0NESY said.
