FaZe Clan stormed into the semi-finals of PGL Bucharest 2025 with a commanding 2-0 victory over 3DMAX, showcasing total control on Anubis (13-0) and Nuke (13-5). The performance was dominant from start to finish, with FaZe dismantling the French side’s aggressive approach through disciplined, methodical play.
On Anubis, FaZe delivered a flawless shutout. Despite 3DMAX securing early-round advantages, they failed to convert a single round. FaZe’s defensive setups were impenetrable, and Helvijs “broky” Saukants stood out as the star performer, combining precise AWP shots with confident positioning.
Moving to Nuke, FaZe maintained their grip. Their defaults were structured and patient, breaking 3DMAX’s defensive rhythm repeatedly. Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s calling was pivotal, reading rotations and exploiting gaps with precision. David “frozen” Čerňanský ended the match as the highest-rated player with a 1.88 rating.
Playoff nerves?
While 3DMAX’s playoff qualification marked a step forward, their collapse under pressure exposed a lack of depth and adaptability. Their aggressive identity was easily countered, and the team struggled to reset after early setbacks.
FaZe now prepares for a semi-final clash with Falcons, a team many had written off earlier in the tournament. With broky back in form and the entire roster clicking, FaZe is looking more than ready to fight for the title in Bucharest.
