Media: m0NESY joins Falcons in biggest transfer in CS history

G2 is set to lose yet another superstar.

According to French journalist Guillaume “neL” Rathier, Falcons have signed a deal to acquire Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov from G2 in what is being described as the biggest transfer in Counter-Strike history.

Sources have told neL that the blockbuster deal is already completed and that m0NESY is expected to be part of Falcons’ active roster ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, which takes place in May.

While the exact fee has not been revealed, the deal is reported to involve multiple millions of dollars. And if the amount is accurate, it would surpass all previous transfer records in CS history.

Reuniting with NiKo

The signing also means a reunion between m0NESY and Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, who transferred to Falcons earlier this year. The duo previously formed one of the most feared partnerships in CS, and their separation was considered a major shakeup when it happened.

Falcons have rebuilt their entire lineup in 2025, forming a star-studded roster around NiKo with Magisk, TeSeS, and kyxsan. With m0NESY now joining the core, expectations for the Saudi-backed project will only grow, as he’s expected to replace degster on the AWP.

When m0NESY will be eligible to play for Falcons is still unclear.

Falcons’ expected lineup:

Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski
René “TeSeS” Madsen
Emil “Magisk” Reif
Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
