Young Argentinian gives hope for SA Counter-Strike

They came as the big underdogs and took the world of Counter-Strike with surprise when they managed to beat Team Vitality at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. Later on, they would end up losing to Heroic, a top-three team in the world right now, but that doesn’t take anything from their performance. The team even had to play with a stand-in at the tournament.

9z was founded in Argentina in 2019.

Especially Santino ‘try’ Rigal has been excellent at the tournament. Only 16-year-old the young Argentinian looks very promising for the future. Watch some of his best highlights here.

After their match against Heroic the coach of 9z Rafael ‘zakk’ Fernandes commented on the future of the team, which could see the team move to North America or come back to Europe to fight again.
