Heroic move past Virtus.pro with 2-1 victory
We got the chance to talk with some of today’s victors right after the deciding 16-13 win on Inferno. The Danish captain rounds off the match like this.
– I feel very excited right now. It’s a big win for us because it’s not easy to play your first game in an arena like this against a former Major finalist in VP. So, I’m very proud of the team and I think they excelled my expectations and we also handled the pressure very well.
The energy in the arena was crazy, and we could hear that the crowd were on our side and not VP’s. That gave us the extra 10% to make the plays and make the right decisions, cadiaN says.

The youngest member of Heroic, 19-year-old Martin “stavn” Lund also took his time to talk with us, where the powerful rifler highlights their ability to utilize and profit from the crowd and its energy.
– There is definitely a different pressure when playing in front of a crowd, something none of the players have experienced for two years now – but it will be something new for every team here. You just have to use it to boost your hype and energy, which was what we did today, stavn concludes.
