Gambit and Team Spirit were not two of the teams, that were most likely to end up in a Semi-Final against each other at IEM Katowice. But as the tournament progressed, it became evident, that the CIS region is not one to underestimate at the moment.
Team Spirit had not lost a match at the event before their encounter with Gambit, but that was about to change mainly due to Sergey ‘Ax1Le‘ Rykhtorov, who was the best player on the server on both maps.
