Video: Are they onliners?

The word “onliners” is often used to describe players or teams, who have difficulties performing at LAN events in CS:GO. We have looked at the stats from 2022 to see which players has the biggest drop in performances from online to LAN. We have taken all players with a minimum of 10 maps on both LAN and online against top 30 opponents.

1. roeJ -0.20 rating (From 1.19 to 0.99)

2. torzsi -0.19 rating (From 1.25 to 1.06)

3. valde -0.19 rating (From 1.21 to 1.02)

4. sh1ro -0.15 rating (From 1.39 to 1.24)

5. syrsoN -0.12 rating (From 1.20 to 1.08)

There is obviously a lot of ways to interpret these stats. First of all it is worth mentioning, that even though the filter is set to top30 teams, there will in general be more games against top20 and top10 teams in LAN events. There is still not a lot of tier2 tournaments being played on LAN, which makes it hard to make a direct comparison.

Therefore we asked Niels Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen to take a look at the demos from Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen, Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás, and Florian “syrsoN” Rische with the latter being dubbed an onliner several times before in his career.

But is he?
