TYLOO take down Astralis to win FISSURE Playground 1

The strong Asians secure the victory in Belgrade, as they climb within the Top 8 on the VRS ranking.

TYLOO are champions of FISSURE Playground 1 after defeating Astralis 3-1 in Sunday’s grand final, marking the Chinese squad’s first major international LAN victory outside of Asia.

The $290,000 triumph was capped off by a dominant performance from Yi “JamYoung” Yang, who put up an astounding 90-56 K-D and a 1.45 rating across four maps. TYLOO dropped the opener on Inferno but bounced back hard with convincing wins on Nuke, Mirage, and Ancient.

This marks Astralis’ second consecutive grand final loss, following their defeat to Spirit at PGL Astana last month. Despite reaching back-to-back finals, the Danish team’s long-standing LAN title drought continues, where they haven’t lifted a trophy on LAN since December 2019.

The event in Belgrade also marked HooXi’s debut as Astralis’ permanent in-game leader. Both Astralis and TYLOO will now turn their focus to IEM Cologne, which kicks off later this week.

The result in Belgrade secures TYLOO a move to #7 on Valve’s global ranking and puts them firmly back on the radar as a rising threat for the Counter-Strike elite.
