tabseN on promising BIG youngster: He’s completely ready for this level

BIG is off a near-perfect start in the Major qualifier at the European RMR tournament, with the Germans posting a smashing 16-3 win over Sangal in the opening round yesterday. The match marked the debut of Elias “s1n” Stein, who is replacing a sick Josef “faveN” Baumann on BIG at the important event.

BIG forced to make roster change prior to RMR

The 20-year-old youngster seems to have impressed his captain as BIG’s in-game leader Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz expressed some high praises about s1n after yesterday’s match, saying he already belongs

– s1n is completely ready for this level, tabseN said to ESL and continued: Mentally wise and how he thinks about the game, he’s very far away from being a beginner, I would say. He’s also very good individually wise. He was very ready to be a part of this – he knew that we would grind a lot and that he was ready to do so.

– s1n came 2-3 days later, so first it was just four of us since faveN was sick, unforturnately. But s1n stepped up immediately, so we had 4-5 days in total of the bootcamp where we were grinding a lot. I think we had days like with 10-11 hours CS each day.

Strong debut

s1n has been one of the bright points on BIG’s academy squad throughout the entire year, having averaged a 1.12 rating over 152 maps. However, it wasn’t written in the cards that he would present such a strong debut performance for BIG as he did yesterday.

His stats vs Sangal yesterday:

1.58 Rating / 75.2 ADR / 16-5 ADR / 94.7% KAST
