The road to the final CS2 Major of the year is starting to take shape.
StarLadder has announced that the Major Regional Qualifiers (MRQ) for the Budapest Major 2025 will take place online from October 16–19. These qualifiers will determine which teams make it through to the prestigious event in Hungary.
[post_preview url="https://pley.gg/confirmed-starladder-to-host-2025-cs2-major-in-budapest/"]As with recent Majors, three regions will be represented in the qualifiers: Europe, Americas (North and South), and Asia (including China, West Asia, and East Asia).
StarLadder also confirmed that invites to both the MRQ and directly to the Major itself will be distributed based on Valve’s VRS ranking — with the cut-off date for invitations set for October 8.
Budapest will mark StarLadder’s return to Major hosting duties for the first time since 2019. The tournament runs from November 24 to December 14, with four stages, a live crowd, and a $1.25 million prize pool.
