The Counter-Strike community was left in shock yesterday as MOUZ announced the benching of their star in-game leader, Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek.
Citing “conflicting visions for the team,” the organization made the decision less than a week into the new season and just days before the start of IEM Katowice – one of the year’s most prestigious tournaments.
Rejected offers before the season
Fans and analysts have been quick to speculate about the reasoning behind the move.
Adding another layer of intrigue, insider Guillaume “neL” Rathier has stated that siuhy rejected multiple offers from other teams during the off-season.
– I also heard that he refused/said no to some other projects during the transfer period, hence why it is very surprising, neL wrote on X.
Big changes for MOUZ
MOUZ has allegedly set their sights on Vitality‘s star rifler Lotan “Spinx” Giladi to fill out the vacant roster spot from siuhy’s removal.
According to a report by Sheep Esports, the German organization has reached a verbal agreement with the 24-year-old Israeli.
Looking short term – with siuhy now on the sidelines – MOUZ will have to adapt quickly as they head into IEM Katowice.
That means Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin has been appointed as the new in-game leader, while academy player Ádrian “xelex” Vincze will serve as a stand-in on the server.
