Ancient seems to be a popular choice in the IEM Summer 2021, as it already has been played many times at the event.
Heroic delivered a masterclass as they didn’t grant any chance to the Brazilian organization who had SHOOWTiME in great shape, but he couldn’t beat Heroic alone.
The Brazilian ended the game with an ADR of 114.4, a fantastic result but his team couldn’t help him against a strong Heroic roster.
In the first half on the map, it was more even, but still quite one-sided as Heroic most times bulldozed through the defense from Imperial and got themselves a 9-6 lead onto the CT side.
And the sheer perfect defensive understanding on the new map was impressive from Heroic, who seemed to have anything under control at all times on the new map.
They ended up winning the second half 7-2, ultimately winning the map 16-8, and sending Imperial down to the lower bracket.
