This Monday, ESL Pro League Season 21 saw its latest playoff contender emerge, as The MongolZ locked in their spot with a dominant performance in Stockholm.
The Mongolian squad secured their third victory of the tournament by decisively defeating 3DMAX, handing them two swift losses on Dust2 (13-4) and Ancient (13-7).
They now join the top dogs – Spirit and Vitality – as the first playoff teams.
Senzu leads the charge
The standout player of the match was none other than Munkhbold “Senzu” Azbayar, who delivered a 1.66 rating across the series, showcasing his star power in The MongolZ’s commanding victory.
Meanwhile, 3DMAX isn’t out of the tournament yet. The French squad will have one last chance to stay in the competition when they face another 2-2 team in a do-or-die match tomorrow.
GamerLegion holds on
Over on the B-stream, SAW and GamerLegion clashed in an elimination match, where GamerLegion emerged victorious, knocking SAW out of the tournament.
The 2-1 victory was heavily influenced by Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, who delivered a standout performance on home soil in Sweden, ensuring his team’s survival for another day at ESL Pro League Season 21.
Unfortunately for SAW, their journey comes to an end as they head home empty-handed.
