Passion UA reported to sell players. A lifeline for Liquid?

After a disappointing season with high investment into CS, the Ukrainian organization may put their roster of international talents to bed.

After a disappointing season with high investment into CS, the Ukrainian organization might put their team of international talents to bed.

Today, HLTV reported that Passion UA is looking to sell their players according to their sources. This comes two days after the organization suddenly withdrew from BC Game Masters two days ago, “ending their season early” for no explicit reason.

With their players becoming available, including prospects like JT and try, here are the teams that could take advantage.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid has been undergoing a period of unprecedented stagnancy in their history.

Their CS2 team, once Grand Slam winners and Major finalists, has not made playoffs at a big event since IEM Melbourne 2025, the stage debut of their captain, siuhy.

Since then, with siuhy at the helm for 13 months, Liquid’s best results are reaching the semi-finals of Fissure Playground 2 and the CS Asia Championships in 2025.

While try has not had his best season on Passion UA, it is still notably ahead of ultimate’s on Liquid, as far as firepower goes.

JT has had a good season of calling, despite being on a failing team. For reference, Falcons have a 49.2% T-side win rate on LAN in 2026, only .8 percentage points above Passion UA.

Other teams suited to JT

With the shortage of in-game leaders in CS2 at the moment, the likes of JT has the world as his oyster.

  • MOUZ could look to sign a leader, however, they have just instituted xertioN, their star rifler as their leader. MOUZ has struggled to keep up their T-sides in 2026, with a 45.7% win rate.
  • G2 has huNter- as their captain, another former star player, leading them to inconsistent results. However, they have strong T-sides with a 50+% win rate on them.
  • FaZe Clan has Twistzz at the helm after the sudden departure of karrigan to Falcons. They are more or less equal with Passion UA as far as T-sides, but are a team with unstable results.
