The NA team EG has reached their end at the tournament as Fredrik “REZ” Sterner and company handed them a 2-0 defeat in the group A lower bracket round 1. NiP has earned a rematch against s1mple and NAVI tomorrow Wednesday in the consolidation final, while EG will have to fight for a spot in the BLAST Premier Fall Finals in the Showdown event.
NiP won 16-8 on Overpass and 19-15 on Inferno after a flawless 4 round run in the overtime. REZ shined on the scoreboard with 14 first kills and a 1.33 rating, finishing the series as MVP.
