Nemiga defeated the tournament favorites 2-0 to book their spot in the grand final.

Against all the odds, Nemiga defeated Vitality 2-0 in the semi-final of PGL Masters Bucharest. Nikita ‘robo’ Dushin had the series of his life, with 15 more kills than Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut.

Nemiga punish picked Cache into Vitality, who were not playing with their full lineup. Then, they triumphed on Dust2 by a razor-thin margin, with a superb 9-3 terrorist side that took out Vitality.

Vitality’s Cache struggles continue

After NAVI exposed Vitality’s Cache yesterday, Nemiga was not afraid to push the same button in the veto. They went on a 7-1 run to start the match on the T side, with 20-year-old robo winning a 1v2 clutch to push their lead even further.

Still, Vitality did not give up without a fight. On this map, ZywOo was the highest-rated player on the server, logging a monstrous 2.34 rating on the CT-side to help Vitality recover a 5-7 from the dumps.

However, Nemiga’s lead proved too much to handle, as nobody on Vitality stepped up alongside ZywOo. They won the second half pistol and ran away with the map.

Nemiga pull Dust2 from the brink of defeat

Unlike Cache, ZywOo had a poor opening half on the attacking side, dropping a measly 0.58 rating. What should have spelled disaster for Nemiga was that Vitality still won the half dominantly with an 8-4 scoreline, and interim IGL William ‘mezii’ Merriman dropping aa 2.37 rating to start.

The half was only salvaged by Nemiga through a rare 4v2 loss by Vitality, where the Kazakh, Beksulta ‘khaN’ Ospan, sniped down two unaware Vitality players to steal the round.

Nemiga got the critical pistol round in the second half, but this time Vitality was active on the map. ZywOo started to find his footing with the defensive AWP, and it looked over after Round 18, where Vitality broke Nemiga’s economy through a dominant round.

But Nemiga replied right back with a force buy, executing on A short, beating ZywOo’s site defense with the AWP. The low buy wars continued, as Vitality actually got to 11 rounds first with pistols.

Nemiga somehow pulled through at the very end, winning the final round on the edge of their seats, closing out a dangerous 2v1 against Robin ‘ropz’ Kool.
