The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 set new records across the board, including in Mongolia, where The MongolZ’s deep tournament run drew massive attention.
According to Esports Charts, the Mongolian-language broadcast peaked at 98,195 viewers, a number that represents nearly 3% of the country’s population.
Despite the Grand Final taking place in the middle of the night locally, thousands gathered across Mongolia to support their team. A viral video from The MongolZ showed a packed main square in Ulaanbaatar at 3:30 AM, with fans watching the match live, as several other watch parties also took place.
The MongolZ reached the Grand Final after an impressive run through the tournament, eventually falling to Vitality. Their performance marked one of the most memorable Major showings from an Asian team to date.
