On Nuke MIBR was paired with Astralis in the opening round of IEM Katowice Play-in. The two teams had already collided earlier this year with Astralis taking the win at BLAST Premier Spring Groups.
The match was almost a repeat of their latest encounter. MIBR started strong on the CT side, but when the two teams switched sides at halftime everything changed. MIBR’s Terrorist side was simply not up to the standards, that were needed to brush off a team like Astralis. The Danes picked MIBR apart in the second half to win 16-11.
Now MIBR will need a victory against the loser of Movistar Riders and BIG to stay alive in the tournament.
