The North Americans from M80 remain in contention at the Americas RMR after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over BESTIA early Friday morning. It all got decided in a nail-biting overtime thriller on Anubis after M80 heroically fought back from a 5-11 deficit in regulation.
The victory came at the expense of BESTIA, whose dream of qualifying for the Shanghai Major ended despite an impressive performance, particularly from their standout player Tomas “tomaszin” Corna.
M80, however, keeps their Major hopes alive. The team must now await the results of the remaining matches to determine if they secure direct qualification or face the seventh-place decider later today.
