The final round of Stage 2 at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 presented a clear scenario for Legacy and TYLOO. The winner of their best-of-three series would advance to Stage 3, while the loser would face elimination. In the second match of the day, the Brazilian roster of Legacy secured a 2-0 victory, confirming their progression in the tournament and sending the Asian representatives home.
Legacy strikes first on Mirage
The series began on Mirage, chosen by Legacy. The Brazilians established an early advantage, finishing the first half with an 8-4 lead. TYLOO responded immediately after the side switch by winning the pistol round and the subsequent anti-eco rounds, narrowing the deficit.
Once the economy stabilized and both teams gained access to full rifle buys, Legacy regained control. The Brazilian squad outplayed their opponents in the gun rounds across both halves. They maintained their composure to close out their map pick with a 13-7 scoreline.
TYLOO falters on Inferno
The series transitioned to Inferno, a map where TYLOO had previously built a 75 percent win rate over four matches at the Major. The Asian squad needed a victory to push the series to a decider on Nuke.
Despite TYLOO’s statistical comfort on Inferno, Legacy dictated the pace of the game. The Brazilian team demonstrated a higher mechanical and tactical level on the server, preventing TYLOO from finding a foothold. Legacy secured a 13-4 victory on the second map, concluding the series.
With this result, Legacy moves forward to the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. TYLOO exits the competition in Stage 2.
