karrigan on FaZe’s dysfunction: “I could feel the tension already after the third round”

Karrigan spoke about FaZe's internal problems, right after they lost 0-2 to Astralis.

Karrigan spoke about FaZe’s internal problems, right after they lost 0-2 to Astralis.

“I could feel tension already after the third round on Mirage,” Finn ‘karrigan’ Andersen said right after being eliminated from PGL Cluj-Napoca. “I never take timeouts that early, but I took one to make sure we are locked in.”

Evidently, FaZe Clan were not “locked in” during today’s match, which cost their tournament life. He added that FaZe was not able to reset between maps.

“It’s a different map, different game, different scenario […]; every time you’re getting tested as a player or as a leader,” karrigan said. “And today we didn’t pass the test, as simple as that.”

karrigan’s comments come after FaZe has had a string of bad results at prestigious tournaments. They came in last place at the BLAST Bounty, 9th-12th at IEM Krakow and now 12th-14th at PGL Cluj-Napoca.

FaZe also had a string of issues connected with Russel ‘Twistzz’ van Dulken, who complained of technical issues he faced at IEM Krakow and now in Cluj-Napoca.

karrigan added that the team still made “basic mentality” mistakes, before the interview ended.
