The 17-year-old Bulgarian joins a huge but floundering CS team from FOKUS.
After being rumored to join, Team Liquid have confirmed the signing of Georgi ‘Jorko’ Mitev from FOKUS. The 17-year-old AWPer will be replacing Roland ‘ultimate’ Tomkowiak, whose benching was also announced today.
Who is Jorko?
The talent that Liquid are banking on to help dig them out of their downward spiral is completely new to tier-one play. He recently the final of BC Game Masters Championship Season 2, putting up the highest-rating on his team (1.07) in a losing effort against Wildcard.
Against all opponents, Jorko put up a 1.07 rating on LAN over the last three months, with an impressive 1.15 rating on the CT-side. However, his rating falls off to a middling 1.00 against the top 50 teams in the world, according to HLTV.
He is more of a passive player, attempting beneath 20% of opening kills, and being the last player alive on his team about 15% of the time, similar to that of Dimitriy ‘sh1ro’ Sokolov.
