Jimpphat on Vitality losses: There’s no mental block, they’re just playing f*cking good

Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo stopped by the Pley microphone after yet another loss to Vitality.

Like everyone else in Counter-Strike this year, MOUZ has had an extremely tough time beating Vitality.

But for MOUZ, it’s been even rougher than most, with Brollan and company having lost seven straight matches to apEX and his team in 2025 alone.

The latest came in last night’s semifinal at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

After the match, we caught up with Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo for a talk about the one-sided rivalry.

– To be honest, they’re just playing really good. There are no secrets behind it. They are really dominant; they have good players and their teamwork is really amazing. So, it’s just really tough to beat them. We have tried so many times but failed so many times.

Mental issue?

In the talk with Jimpphat, we asked the young Finn if he believes there’s a mental block for MOUZ when taking on Vitality. Something he quickly shot down.

– I don’t think there’s a mental block. I think it’s simply that they’re just playing really f*cking good. There’s no secret behind it. We played with confidence but sadly we couldn’t make anything about it, because they are so dominant.

– We thought this would be the time where we beat them, but it wasn’t. It was somehow close, somehow not. Just overall pretty disappointed and sad. It’s a sad way to go on a break, but it’s not a shame to lose to Vitality.
