“I’m proud, but I’m not happy at all”: KSCERATO reflects on FURIA loss to Team Falcons

FURIA suffered a 3-0 defeat against Team Falcons in the IEM Cologne Grand Final. Despite a strong tournament run in Germany, the Brazilian squad fell short in the ultimate match, dropping all three maps with identical 13-8 scorelines.

Speaking after the match, Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato shared his thoughts on the outcome and the team’s performance.

It was a great final, really good final, but it’s a little bit sad,” KSCERATO explained. “Not a little, but fucking sad. But it is what it is. You just need to learn from it and come back better.

A tough series against Team Falcons

Team Falcons maintained control throughout the series, closing out crucial rounds to secure the trophy. When asked about the nature of the three 13-8 scorelines, KSCERATO acknowledged the opponent’s ability to capitalize on key moments and swing the momentum in their favor.

They won crazy rounds,” KSCERATO said. “It’s hard to play. I mean, they deserve it. They played really well. They won some clutch rounds that bring them back to control the halves. So yeah, we just need to learn from it.

Despite the 3-0 sweep, KSCERATO emphasized the team’s inherent resilience and belief in their own system.

We never give up. We know how to play finals. We played many last year. We know that even though we start 0-2 we can come back to 3-2. Same happened last year. So we never give up.

Looking ahead after a strong tournament run

Reaching the final in Cologne marks a significant milestone for FURIA, yet the players remain entirely focused on the ultimate goal of lifting trophies.

I’m proud, but I’m not happy at all,” KSCERATO said regarding the team’s overall result in the tournament. “This is not what I was expecting. I mean, it is what it is. The competitions like this, sometimes they lose, sometimes they win.

With the tournament concluded, FURIA will now enter a period of rest before returning to official server competition. KSCERATO aims to use the time to reset.

We have to work harder. Now we have some vacation time, no tournaments anymore. So, we’re going to chill a little bit, put our mindset in control of ourselves, and keep going.
