HEROIC have officially locked in their place at IEM Dallas 2025, delivering a resounding 2-0 victory over Astralis in the lower bracket final of the European closed qualifier. HEROIC completely outclassed their opposition, securing 13-3 on Mirage and 13-2 on Nuke, ensuring that their path to the prestigious $300,000 LAN tournament remains intact.

HEROIC’s Unrelenting Performance Against Astralis

Despite Astralis having recently competed at PGL Cluj-Napoca, the extra preparation time for HEROIC proved invaluable. Under the guidance of Eetu “sAw” Saha, HEROIC executed a near-flawless game plan, exposing the weaknesses in Astralis’ play and capitalizing on their opponent’s defensive inconsistencies.

xfl0ud and yxngstxr Shine with Career-Best Performances

Two players stood out as the key catalysts for HEROIC’s dominance:

  • Yasin “xfl0ud” Koç posted a record-breaking 2.63 rating on Mirage, marking the best performance of his professional career.
  • Simon “yxngstxr” Boije matched that incredible feat on Nuke, also achieving a 2.63 rating, setting a new personal milestone.

This exceptional display underscores HEROIC’s growing strength, as the squad looks increasingly well-rounded heading into one of the year’s biggest events.

Astralis Struggle to Find Their Footing

While HEROIC played a near-flawless series, Astralis failed to capitalize on multiple opportunities. Across the two maps, they squandered four separate two-man advantages, a clear sign of poor mid-round decision-making and weak team coordination. These mistakes ultimately led to one of the most one-sided defeats in recent memory for the Danish organization.
