Grim after Major exit: We should feel bad

Despite missing their primary AWPer, expectations were higher for Grim and the rest of Complexity at the Major.

Complexity suffered a devastating loss on Thursday, falling 0-2 to TYLOO and crashing out of the BLAST.tv Austin Major in Stage 1 without a single best-of-three win.

The result marks a huge letdown for the North American squad, who had entered the event among the favorites to progress, even with stand-in Paytyn “junior” Johnson on the roster.

Following the loss, Michael “Grim” Wince didn’t hold back in his interview with HLTV.

– Honestly, I’m very disappointed because I think all of us here even with the stand-in, we expected at least to go to Stage 2, and to not even be able to get two wins in the first stage is obviously very disappointing, Grim told HLTV and continued:

– I think all of us should feel bad, and then we should definitely go reflect on this during the player break and see what we can do to come back stronger, because I think all of us never want this to happen again.

Falling short on home soil

Shortly after the match, Grim also posted a heartfelt message on X, expressing how difficult the loss was to process, especially given that the tournament took place in his hometown of Austin.
