With yesterday’s huge upset win against Cloud9, Grayhound was one of the teams to watch on Day 2 of IEM Rio. The Australians started with a bang on Dust2 against BIG, where they quickly established a 6-0 lead on their T side.
But then Karim “Krimbo” Moussa and Florian “syrsoN” Rische turned up. And suddenly the scoreboard was turned upside down from 0-6 to 9-6 at the break. The struggle continued in the second half for Grayhound, who could not deny BIG’s offense. It ended in a very one-sided affair with BIG winning 16 rounds in a row to put them 2-1 in the Challengers Stage of IEM Rio.
Grayhounds fall down to the 1-2 pool, where the Australians will play an elimination match tomorrow to stay alive.
