The 25-year-old Danish superstar that has led his team to four Major titles stepped down from the IGL position earlier this year, but it’s now back as the captain once again.
“It’s true that I am back as the IGL, but it’s pretty easy to be the IGL when my team is killing it. It was nice of Magisk to take over the role for a while.” gla1ve wrote on Twitter after a 2-0 victory over Liquid in DreamHack Master Winter that eliminated the North Americans from the competition.
Astralis won two tournaments and had a top-four finish under Emil “Magisk” Reif’s calling and he continued to put up good performances this year, averaging a 1.08 rating over the last six months.
Astralis will take on the loser of G2 vs. FURIA in another lower-bracket match in DreamHack Masters Winter for a place in the playoffs.
And yeah its true that I am back as the IGL, but its pretty easy to be IGL when my team is killing it ?
It was nice of Magisk to take over the role for a while, now he can go make edshot ♥️
