German organization exit Counter-Strike

ALTERNATE aTTaX has left the scene "for the time being."

ALTERNATE aTTaX have announced that they are stepping away from Counter-Strike entirely, closing down their remaining CS2 operations and releasing their players and staff.

The German organization had already paused its main roster back in October 2024 due to financial strain and limited opportunities in the tier-two scene. Since then, they had only maintained a small academy setup.

In a statement released this week, the org explained that despite their efforts to rebuild, the current landscape offers neither the economic nor competitive stability needed to support a long-term project.

The decision, which they call a difficult one, ends a long chapter in aTTaX’s history. Counter-Strike was described as not only the foundation of the organization, but also a core part of its identity.

ALTERNATE aTTaX thanked their players, coaches, staff, and supporters and noted they’re not ruling out a return in the future — but for now, their CS era is officially over.
