It was fast-paced CS from the very get going when FURIA and G2 met in the exciting opening round matchup at BLAST Premier Fall Finals. The G2 side overcame a slaughter on Inferno (5-16) by showing great character, winning first Mirage (19-17) and Nuke (16-11).

On Inferno, FURIA showed no mercy and took over the map from the very beginning, where NiKo and the rest of G2 didn’t manage to put up a resistant performance to stop the Brazilians aggressiveness. FURIA powered through and secured a halftime lead by 11-4, through a monster T-side, breaking down G2’s defence. yuurih who had an immense 1.66 rating, led his team to a strong 16-5 victory.

It looked like a clear 2-0 win for FURIA going into Mirage, due to their performance on the first map, but also Mirage being one of FURIA’s strongest maps. However, a nexa-led G2 wanted it different. G2 showed great character and stood their ground by equalizing the series 1-1 after a tough task which tested them mentally in OT that saw G2 come out on top with a 19-17 victory. NiKo finished on top of the scoreboard on the second map with a rating of 1.54, 108.8 ADR, and a 36-24 score.

The close and hectic CS we saw on Mirage, continued on the deciding map of Nuke. FURIA had a hot start, where the Brazilians managed to take the pistol and the two following rounds through arT’s relentless aggression. However, NiKo and G2 managed to grab the halftime lead on 8-7 due to a strong 6-round winning stream. The European top team closed out the map 16-11 through a stellar T-side and concludes an outstanding resweep over FURIA.
It was a battle of the Kovač's for MVP but @G2NiKo narrowly takes it! ?
