FURIA sweeps through B8

In a classic David versus Goliath matchup, B8, the 15th-ranked team in the world, took on world number five, FURIA.

B8 entered the server riding a confident three-match win streak, looking to capitalize on a FURIA squad that had experienced a shaky start after dropping two of their last five matches.

Despite the contrasting momentum, FURIA absolutely swept B8 aside, advancing to the next stage of the Major with practically no friction. Every player on the Brazilian squad showcased sheer dominance across both Mirage and Inferno to secure a flawless victory.

Mirage – B8 loses their map pick

B8 started the map strong by winning the pistol round. However, FURIA quickly bounced back, largely thanks to Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis and Danil “molodoy” Golubenko.

The early stages of the match featured a defensive masterclass from YEKINDAR, who demonstrated how aggressive yet calculated plays can completely oppress the T-side on Mirage. Meanwhile, molodoy continued to showcase his incredible AWP skills throughout the half.

B8 managed to snatch only three rounds before the break, relying heavily on Artem “kensizor” Kapran and Andrii “npl” Kukharskyi, who secured eight and six kills respectively.

The half concluded with a commanding 9:3 lead for FURIA.

The second half started well for B8, as they secured the pistol round with ease. They comfortably converted the next three rounds, driven by crucial plays from kensizor and Danylo “s1zzi” Vinnyk.

B8 owes a lot of credit to s1zzi in particular, since he was a primary reason they avoided being completely swept.

Despite this late resistance, FURIA ultimately closed out Mirage to take the map.

Inferno – FURIA secures an easy win

FURIA came out swinging to start the map, reminding B8 exactly why they are ranked fifth in the world.

Yuri “yuurih” Boian stepped up to carry the Brazilian squad early on, delivering a stellar performance right out of the gate with seven kills and only one death in the first five rounds.

B8 found a brief spark in round eight thanks to an amazing clutch from Artem “kensizor” Kapran.

However, the combined firepower of Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis, alongside yuurih, kept FURIA looking unstoppable.

Although B8 managed to secure only three rounds, they fought hard for every inch, making FURIA work for their 9:3 halftime lead.

Kaike “kscerato” Cerato kicked off the second half with an amazing performance, securing the opening pistol round for FURIA on the Terrorist side. From there, the half ended almost as quickly as it began.

While the entire FURIA roster contributed heavily to the victory, Yuri “yuurih” Boian, Danil “molodoy” Golubenko, and Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis truly deserve the lion’s share of the praise.

FURIA comfortably closed out the map with a 13:4 scoreline, sweeping the best of three series 2:0 and advancing in style.
