FURIA destroy Aurora to book their spot in Cologne Major final

FalleN is now only one series win away from claiming a Major trophy in the year of his announced retirement.

FalleN is now only one series win away from claiming a Major trophy in the year of his announced retirement.

Aurora’s spirits were crushed going up against FURIA. After a strong start to their map pick, they were outplayed throughout almost all of the gun rounds, and lost 2-0.

Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinskis spoke after the match about the stakes for this Major.

A man of his figure (FalleN) deserves to go out with a bang. He would be the first to win Cologne 3 times, that’s the goal.

Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo said that FURIA played great, heading into a high-pressure match tomorrow.

KSCERATO shows up on the Major stage

Alongside Yuri ‘yuurih’ Santos’s consistent performances was accompanied by Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato today, who can sometimes be absent on-stage.

He won a critical round on Dust2 with a hero AK-47, turning the tides early in favor of FURIA after a rough start. FalleN spoke about the two Brazilian prodigies.

There’s so much patience and so much skill on those two guys. They’re very good players.

Them two alongside the two international stars were enough to seal a close 13-9 win on Dust2, where Aurora had their best chance.

Nuke was a masterclass from FURIA

The scoreline from the map doesn’t do justice to FURIA, who won an 8-4 opening T-side. However, they lost the pistol round, and converted the next 8 of the 9 successive rounds, many of them gun rounds.

It was a dominant performance, where yuuurih once again was dominant. He has been the driving force behind FURIA’s Major run.

Player of the match: yuuurih

Yuri ‘yuuurih’ Santos was undoubtedly the player of the match with the highest rating (1.62). He won a 1vs1 clutch in this series while being the closer of FURIA’s T-sides with the most damage per round (90).
