FURIA defeat MOUZ to reach second grand final in a row

A close three-map series went FURIA's way after stellar performances from YEKINDAR, molodoy and KSCERATO.

A close three-map series went FURIA’s way after stellar performances from YEKINDAR, molodoy and KSCERATO.

After a disappointing start to the season, FURIA are starting to gain momentum in a similar fashion as they did last year. Winning the Thunderpick World Championship earlier this month, they have the opportunity to win two consecutive trophies, as they did last year before going on a streak of four.

They defeated a MOUZ that put up a fight, but had few standout individual performances and lackluster T-sides.

molodoy lights up Dust2 going +15

The young AWPing prodigy that set 2025 aflame has been relatively inconsistent throughout 2026, but has had a superb tournament and his standout series in the semi-final.

It started on the first map, Dust2, where FURIA started their map pick trailing behind MOUZ’s defence. With the help of molodoy, they fought back to earn a 6-6 half.

The second half was no contest, as FURIA’s CT side stuffed MOUZ’s attack. MOUZ got no rounds on their Terrorist side, with Mareks ‘YEKINDAR’ Gaļinskis wreaking havoc on them with smoke pushes.

MOUZ turn it around on Mirage

MOUZ’s pick of Mirage started south for them, as FURIA’s individuals were still firing. This time, it was Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato’s turn to excel, helping FURIA win impossible rounds to go up 8-4.

KSCERATO dropped a seemingly insurmountable 1.91 rating in the first half, until Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi outdid him. After helping MOUZ get to four rounds alongside Oldřich ‘PR’ Nový, Spinx went on a tear on the CT-side, with a 2.83 rating in the second half.

MOUZ mounted a huge comeback, leaving FURIA in the Dust2 after their own disastrous 1-9 T-side.

FURIA set the tone early on Cache

MOUZ were in firm position to take an early lead on the CT-side of Cache, winning the pistol. However, disaster struck immediately, as they lost to a buy from FURIA that included four Glocks and a single Galil. Yuri ‘yuuurih’ Santos got a 3k and FURIA were back on track.

From there, it was the molodoy show, as him and KSCERATO helped FURIA win multiple mid-rounds after YEKINDAR caused chaos on the map, that got them an 8-4 half.

In the second half, MOUZ put up a fight, but it was too little too late as FURIA’s aggression eventually paid off.

FURIA won the decider map 13-9, with molodoy topping the server with 56 kills and a 1.34 rating. FURIA go onto face huge underdog, Nemiga, with the potential to win their second consecutive title.
