FURIA bring a $2 million year to IEM Beijing

Two titles in two weeks have taken FURIA past $2 million for the season, and the Brazilians open in China against FaZe less than a day after flying out of Romania.

FURIA start IEM Beijing on Monday morning against FaZe as the hottest team in Counter-Strike. Their 3-2 win over Nemiga in the PGL Masters Bucharest grand final on Saturday was their second trophy in a row, after the Thunderpick World Championship two weeks earlier, and it took the team past $2 million in prize money for 2026.

FURIA’s 2026 winnings stand at $2,156,125 after Bucharest. Almost half of it came in the last two weeks: $500,000 for the Thunderpick World Championship on 18 October, where they also beat BetBoom 3-2 in the final, and $450,000 for Bucharest.

Before October, FURIA’s season was a list of near misses. They lost the IEM Kraków final to Team Vitality in February and the IEM Cologne Major final to Team Falcons in June, and went out to Falcons three times in the spring. October turned it around.

YEKINDAR was named MVP in Bucharest, the first MVP medal of his career, and FalleN added another trophy to his collection. For KSCERATO, HLTV counted it as the tenth notable title of his career.

A field without Vitality and Spirit

IEM Beijing runs from 2 to 8 November with a $1,250,000 prize pool, $360,000 of it for the winner. Sixteen teams play in two GSL groups of eight with Bo3 series. The top three in each group go to the playoffs: group winners straight to the semi-finals, second and third place to the quarter-finals. The grand final is a Bo5.

Team Vitality and Team Spirit are not in the field. MOUZ, who kept first place in the VRS with their bronze-medal win over Vitality in Bucharest, open Group B against TYLOO.

One of the last two stops before Singapore

Beijing is one of only two big events left before the PGL Major Singapore starts on 24 November. The other is BLAST Rivals Fall from 11 to 15 November. Major invitations are based on the VRS snapshot of 2 November, the day Beijing starts, so the event is about form rather than places.

For FURIA, the schedule is tight. The Bucharest final ended on Saturday afternoon in Romania, and their first match in Beijing is at .
