Jordanian rifler Mohammad “BOROS” Malhas has posted on X that he was approached to fix Counter-Strike 2 matches while he was in China.
In his post, BOROS tags Chinese veteran HaoWen “somebody” Xu, who at the time played for Rare Atom, and says he refused the approach. He also thanks JiJieHao for helping him leave the situation.
Rumors of match fixing have long surrounded the lower tiers of professional Counter-Strike, yet few participants speak publicly.
Most recently, the Esports Integrity Commission sanctioned the Mongolian team ATOX with bans ranging from eight months to life. ESIC concluded that the team had taken part in a betting scheme involving more than 70 suspicious wagers between late 2024 and March 2025, with links to Chinese organized crime betting syndicates.
