FISSURE Playground 1: See the matchups for the $1M CS2 LAN

From July 15 to 20, 2025, the CS2 competitive calendar resumes with the $1M FISSURE Playground 1. Sixteen international teams will gather in Belgrade, Serbia, to compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool at a pivotal LAN event that marks the start of the post-player-break season.

The tournament will showcase a blend of top-tier contenders, fresh rosters, and promising talent in a format designed to test both consistency and endurance.

Format Overview

The tournament features a hybrid structure that combines group-stage survival with knockout-stage intensity:

  • Group Stage: Four groups of four teams
  • Structure: Double elimination within each group, all matches best-of-three
  • Advancement: Top two teams from each group qualify for the playoffs
  • Playoffs: Single elimination, best-of-three
  • Grand Final: Best-of-five

Group Distribution

The sixteen teams have been divided into four evenly balanced groups. Each group includes a mix of established names and restructured rosters.

FURIA enters as the highest-ranked team in the tournament and the only representative from the current global top 10.

Roster Changes and Debuts

Virtus.pro Introduces Perfecto

Virtus.pro has acquired Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy, a major signing that adds championship experience and strategic versatility to the roster. His arrival marks a new chapter for the team as they aim to regain their status as a title contender.

HEROIC Fields Two Rising Talents

HEROIC is betting on youth, bringing in Gleb “gr1ks” Gazin and Linus “nilo” Bergman to strengthen the lineup. Both players are making their LAN debut with the organization and will be under close scrutiny throughout the event.

Additional Roster Rebuilds

Teams including Wildcard, SAW, GamerLegion, MIBR, and Rare Atom also enter with updated lineups. Each is seeking to establish cohesion quickly in the high-pressure environment of a top-tier international LAN.
