FaZe have been eliminated from the Fissure Playground 3 tournament in Suzhou, China, after failing to secure a single victory. The team exits the $1,000,000 event with an 0-2 match record, a result that carries direct consequences for their future tournament circuit.
Missing essential VRS points
The early departure means FaZe missed a key opportunity to accumulate points needed to maintain a position inside the top 15 of the Valve Regional Standings. With the cut-off date for the Singapore Major approaching, failing to secure these points puts the team under immediate pressure for their qualification standing.
Defeats to Alliance and magic
The campaign started on September 8 with a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Alliance. Facing elimination the following day, FaZe matched up against magic but ultimately fell short with a 1-2 loss, cementing their exit from the competition.
Twistzz delivers while the roster struggles
In-game leader Twistzz put forth a strong individual showing despite the team dropping out of the tournament. The captain finished his time in China with a 1.24 rating. He was the only player on the FaZe roster to end the event with a rating above 1.00.
The rest of the lineup could not match his output on the server. The statistics show jcobbb finishing with a 0.99 rating, followed by JBOEN at 0.92 and Neityu at a 0.82 rating.
A historic low for frozen
David “frozen” Čerňanský experienced an unusually tough event. The Slovakian player finished the tournament with a 0.95 rating and a -18 kill-death difference. This stands as his worst statistical performance in a FaZe jersey since joining the organization at the end of 2023.
Recent tournament results
The exit in China adds to a string of mixed results for FaZe over the past two months. At the Esports World Cup in August, the team placed 9-16th. During that event, they defeated Legacy 2-0 and BetBoom 13-11, but were knocked out following a 0-2 loss to Vitality.
Earlier in the summer, FaZe secured a 3-4th place finish at the BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 Finals. They defeated The MongolZ 2-1 before losing 1-2 to Spirit. Their qualification to the finals came through a successful run in the regular BLAST Bounty Season 2, where they recorded a 2-1 victory over DENDELE and a 2-0 win against EYEBALLERS.
The organization will now have to reevaluate their approach as they look to secure their ranking before the upcoming Major roster lock.
