FaZe secure Playoff Spot at PGL Bucharest with a 2-0 win against Apogee.

Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s FaZe Clan clinched a spot in the playoffs at PGL Bucharest after a convincing 2-0 victory over the Polish underdogs Apogee. The match took place on the final day of the group stage, with both teams entering the clash with a 2-2 record and everything on the line.

Dominance on Dust2

FaZe started strong on Dust2, swiftly shutting down Apogee’s efforts and taking the map 13-5. Despite Apogee’s remarkable performance earlier in the tournament, they struggled to find footing against FaZe’s relentless pressure.

A Closer Battle on Ancient

The second map, Ancient, was Apogee’s pick and saw the Polish squad showing more promise. They managed to gain some momentum and put up a tougher fight, but FaZe’s composure held firm. The match was sealed when David “frozen” Čerňanský pulled off a 1vs2 clutch, securing a 13-8 win and the series.

A Proud Exit for Apogee

Although their tournament run ends here, Apogee can walk away with pride. With impressive wins over Astralis and The MongolZ, they’ve earned valuable points in the global rankings and made a strong case for more invites to top-tier events in the future.

FaZe advances to the Quarter-Finals tomorrow in Bucharest. The final playoff spot will be decided later today, in a showdown between Falcons and The MongolZ.
