Counter-Strike has long struggled with in-game toxicity. Harassment and immature behavior frequently ruin the experience for many players, especially women. Now, FACEIT, the leading third-party platform for Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), is aggressively cracking down on bad actors.
In a recent Twitter update, FACEIT confirmed they issued 151,682 toxicity bans over the past 12 months. They also noted that 2026 is already on track to surpass this total.
Weekly bans have spiked by 169%. FACEIT credits this massive increase to three main factors:
- Hiring more moderation staff.
- Speeding up case processing times.
- Players utilizing the revamped reporting system to provide clear match evidence.
As the top alternative to Valve’s official servers, FACEIT is sending a clear message that toxic behavior is no longer acceptable. The platform is prioritizing teamwork and competitive integrity to clean up the CS2 community.
