The players are still under contract while the bankruptcy runs its course, and coach allu says the team will keep practising and is open to talks with a new organisation.
The last ENCE lineup is not splitting up. Coach Aleksi “allu” Jalli wrote on X on Wednesday that the players remain under contract while the legal process plays out, and that the team has chosen to keep practising and play its remaining online events.
“The players would love to stay together,” the Finn wrote. “If an org wants to give a young team the trust and time to grow, we’re open to talks.”
ENCE filed for bankruptcy on Monday after losses of €1.6 million over two years. The announcement gave no word on the players, and allu had said he would explain more “when the dust settles a bit”.
The roster:
Schwarz (in-game leader)
teme
millert
HENU
joeski
allu (coach)
From 224th to 103rd
In his thread, allu explained that the club’s financial limits gave him the chance to come back as coach of the newly promoted academy roster. Talks began in March, and he took charge in June. Since late July, he wrote, the team has climbed from 224th to 103rd in Valve’s Regional Standings.
The team finished second at Urban Riga Open Season 7 at the end of September. The last match under the ENCE name was a 0-2 semi-final loss to Phantom at Elisa BreakOut Series #2 on 17 October. No upcoming matches are listed for the team.
allu also used the thread to put himself forward. Coaching has become “a real passion”, he wrote, and his time as a player and in tier one “gives me a lot to offer a team at any level”.
