Disastrous start in China: XSE Pro League Guangzhou opening day hit by severe delays and hacked Steam account

The opening day of the XSE Pro League Guangzhou has quickly devolved into an operational nightmare for the tournament organizers. Managed by the Chinese company Xinsai Esports, the Counter-Strike event faced immediate technical failures that forced the opening matches to be postponed by nearly two hours.

Severe schedule collapse

The initial technical problems have created a cascading effect on the entire broadcast. The final best-of-one matchups of the opening round were originally scheduled to commence at 12:00 CEST. Currently, there are still six games that need to be played. This massive backlog will push the remaining matches back by five to six hours, leaving players waiting indefinitely.

BetBoom player compromised on tournament hardware

Adding a critical security breach to the ongoing delays, BetBoom Team player Magnojez lost control of his Steam account after logging into a designated computer at the event venue.

His teammate Boombl4 alerted the public to the situation via social media, stating: “Magnojez has been hacked. Do NOT respond to any messages from this account. URGENT HELP NEEDED! We have a match in China in a few hours.”

BetBoom is scheduled to face SINNERS at 15.00 (CEST).
