CS2 streamer MAUschine receives 10-Year ban following physical altercation at CAGGTUS Leipzig

A 31-year-old Counter-Strike 2 streamer and semi-professional player known as “MAUschine” has been issued a 10-year ban from competitive play following a physical altercation at a regional LAN tournament. The incident occurred on April 19, 2026, during the post-match ceremony at the CAGGTUS Leipzig event in Germany, where MAUschine struck opposing player Fabian “Spidergum” Salomon.

Operating out of Berlin, Germany, Maurizio “MAUschine” Weber is a semi-pro CS2 player and content creator with an online following of approximately 13,500. Within the community, he has cultivated a persona centered around a highly aggressive playstyle. His broadcasts typically feature competitive shooter gameplay mixed with heavy trash talk, a common element in competitive gaming that, in this instance, escalated into real-world physical contact.

The on-stage incident and escalation

The confrontation took place immediately after MAUschine’s team lost a match to Salomon’s roster. As the players gathered on stage for the customary post-match interactions, MAUschine approached Salomon and delivered a strike to his face, knocking the opposing player’s glasses off. The event host intervened to manage the situation, requesting that MAUschine be removed from the stage so the broadcast could continue. The complete video of the altercation is provided below so viewers can see the events as they unfolded.

Observers within the community have noted that the altercation appeared to stem from previous online interactions. Salomon had previously engaged in banter by imitating and mocking one of MAUschine’s broadcasts. In the days leading up to the tournament, MAUschine had allegedly made threatening comments regarding Salomon on his own stream, suggesting the physical confrontation was premeditated.

Disciplinary actions and community response

Tournament organizers DACH CS Masters and Fragster responded swiftly to the incident. In a public statement, the organizers announced that MAUschine would be suspended from their events for a minimum of ten years. The organizations declared that violence is unacceptable and has no place within their league, while also confirming that the incident has been formally reported to the Esports Integrity Commission.

A suspension until 2036 effectively concludes the 31-year-old’s competitive esports career. Furthermore, by reporting the incident to the Esports Integrity Commission, the organizers have opened the door for broader disciplinary action. Should the commission decide to adopt the ruling globally, the suspension could extend to major international tournament circuits, including ESL, BLAST, and FACEIT.

* Update 21st of April – ESIC has issued a lifetime ban to Maurizio “MAUschine” Weber.
