Valve rolled out a fresh Counter-Strike 2 update during the night, and it’s one of the more content-packed patches we’ve seen in recent months. The update introduces brand new community maps, cosmetic collections in the Armory, quality-of-life gameplay tweaks, and deeper spectator functionality. Here’s everything you need to know.
New Community Maps
Four new community creations have entered the rotation.
- Palacio and Golden are now available in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes.
- Rooftop and Transit have been added to Wingman, with Transit’s moving train offering a unique twist to the format.
At the same time, Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery have been removed from all playlists.
Armory Additions: Charms and Stickers
The Armory just got a major refresh.
- Missing Link Community Charms: 23 new charms crafted by workshop artists.
- Dr. Boom Charms: 22 explosive-themed charms, including the miniature grenade-inspired designs.
- 2025 Community Stickers Collection: 29 new community-created stickers.
- Sugarface 2 Stickers: 9 new designs continuing the quirky Sugarface series.

To make space for the new content, the Gallery Case, Graphic Collection, and Character Craft stickers have been removed from the Armory.
Gameplay Updates
A handful of gameplay tweaks are live:
- Deaths from C4 explosions now properly count on the scoreboard.
- Zeus-x27 kill streak bonus has been limited in Deathmatch.
- Sniper scopes received fixes: pixel offset issues have been corrected, and scopes now visually represent inaccuracy.
- Keychains now have subtle movement when footsteps are made, adding immersion.
Spectator Improvements
Spectating has been polished further with new features:
- Select maps now support dynamic camera transitions, following the shortest path between players.
- The spectated player’s loadout auto-closes at the end of a match.
- Glove skins now display wear and pattern details while spectating.
Map Fixes
- Ancient and Shoots received clipping fixes.
- Community maps updated with additions and removals as noted above.
Miscellaneous Changes
- Minor skinning adjustments for the MAC-10 and R8 Revolver.
- A crash related to missing bullet impact effects has been fixed.
- Workshop Tools now feature lattice and bend deformers, enabling more advanced mapmaking.
Expanded Map Scripting
Valve also delivered a long list of scripting improvements and new hooks for Workshop creators. These include:
- New callbacks like OnPlayerDamage, OnGrenadeBounce, OnKnifeAttack, OnBulletImpact, OnPlayerPing, and many more.
- Enhanced performance when handling Vector, QAngle, and Color values.
- Overhauled error handling for methods, providing clearer feedback when scripts misfire.
- New capabilities for entities, including setting owners, parents, and damage interactions.
This marks one of the largest scripting overhauls in CS2 yet, giving community developers more powerful tools to push creative boundaries.
