Kaue “kauez” Kaschuk has officially been moved to the bench at paiN, the Brazilian rifler announced Saturday in a statement on his social media.
The news confirms an earlier report from Dust2 Brasil, which indicated that kauez’s time in the active lineup was coming to an end. According to the outlet, the 21-year-old is expected to be replaced by Iago “deemO” Henrique from paiN Academy.
A tough 2025 for Kauez
In a longer post on X, kauez reflected on his benching, explaining the factors that led to his removal from the lineup. He pointed to the relentless tournament schedule, extensive travel, and lack of practice time as key reasons behind his struggles.
– As the year started and tournaments began, my performance dropped significantly, and that affected me a lot because I always told myself that I could do much better. I kept trying to figure out why I was playing poorly and was constantly looking for ways to get back to my best form. I think the main reason for everything was the back-to-back tournaments, constant travel, and barely having time to train maps with the new role changes, kauez wrote.
The next tournament for paiN is currently PGL Bucharest, starting in early April.
