G2 took down Furia in a convincing 2-0 victory yesterday. The biggest storyline of the game was undoubtedly the debut of the Bosnian superstar Nikola “NiKo” Kovac. This means that this was his first game playing on the same side with his beloved cousin Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac.
“It feels amazing to play with him and the rest of the guys as well. He has developed a lot as a player, and when he’s in the zone, he’s a very dangerous player. It has been coming for a while that me and him will play for the same team, and I’m happy we managed to do it because I think now is the right time to do it for both myself and the team.”
NiKo believes that playing with him both will improve them to individually but also the team as general. He thinks that the teams and its synergy will be strengthened which provides better communication. The acquisition of NiKo means that G2 now holds a powerful Eastern European core in nexa, huNter- and NiKo.
