BLAST has announced a new three-year partnership with GamingMalta, which will see the tournament organiser host a series of international esports events on the small island in the Mediterranean Sea.
The agreement kicks off in August 2025 with BLAST Premier Bounty Season 2, which will mark the first BLAST CS event held in Malta.
In total, the partnership will include nine international esports tournaments over the next three years. While the exact breakdown hasn’t been confirmed, events from both the BLAST Premier and BLAST Slam circuits are expected to be part of the plan.
Robbie Douek, CEO of BLAST, stated the following:
– Our partnership with GamingMalta makes a major milestone for BLAST having secured a multi year partnership to elevate esports and gaming in Malta. We are excited to bring live output, a new studio and competitive entertainment to the island.
Big studio plans
As part of the deal, BLAST will also build a 1,000m² esports studio and broadcast facility on the island, along with establishing a local office and permanent operations team to support long-term tournament production and content output in the region.
The move is part of BLAST’s broader international expansion strategy, as they have and will host tournaments in countries such as China, Portugal, and the United States of America.
