The third day of BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026 was defined by polar opposite results for two of Counter-Strike’s titans. While the recent ESL Pro League Season 23 champions Natus Vincere continued their march forward and are obviously flying high at the moment, FaZe Clan’s abysmal 2026 season hit a shocking new low with an early elimination at the hands of TYLOO.
It was a day that saw the group stage standings solidify, separating the flawless from those with their backs against the wall, but it will be remembered primarily for the colossal upset that sent shockwaves through the Ahoy Arena.
Day 3 At a Glance: Results Summary
- TYLOO 2 – 1 FaZe Clan (Mirage 13-11, Ancient 8-13, Overpass 13-11): TYLOO secure a landmark upset to eliminate FaZe.
- NAVI 2 – 1 Team Falcons (Mirage 9-13, Inferno 13-9, Dust2 13-9): NAVI edge out Falcons to become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
- NRG 2 – 0 B8: NRG bounce back from their opening loss as Michael “Grim” Wince and Josh “oSee” Ohm combine for 79 frags to eliminate B8.
- Aurora 2 – 0 FURIA: Aurora continue their surprising run to advance to the Upper Bracket Final against NAVI.
Despite FURIA’s loss, KSCERATO delivered the highlight of the day with this amazing clip.
FaZe Clan dumped out by TYLOO
The biggest story of Day 3, and perhaps the tournament so far, was the premature exit of FaZe Clan. They were eliminated from BLAST Open Rotterdam in a devastating 1-2 loss to the Chinese underdogs of TYLOO in the Group A Lower Bracket. The result consigns FaZe to a dismal 13th to 16th place finish, a continuation of a worrying trend that has seen them go 3-11 in series across 2026.
The series was a brutal rollercoaster for FaZe, who are currently playing with analyst Dominik “GruBy” Swiderski standing in behind them after parting ways with coach Filip “NEO” Kubski earlier this week. TYLOO started standardly strong on their map pick of Mirage, racing to a 9-3 halftime lead on the T-side. A signature FaZe comeback attempt fell agonizingly short as TYLOO closed the opener 13-11.
FaZe responded on Ancient, where they looked dominant on the CT-side to secure a 13-8 victory, seemingly steadying the ship. However, the decider on Overpass was a replication of map one. Despite heroic efforts from Finn “karrigan” Andersen and Helvijs “broky” Saukants, FaZe crumbled at the final hurdle. TYLOO’s core of Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang and Qianhao “Moseyuh” Chen delivered crucial multi-kill rounds to edge the final map 13-11.
For TYLOO, the win is a landmark achievement, proving they can compete with Europe’s elite. For FaZe, it is a crisis point. Their inability to find consistent form puts their qualification for the IEM Cologne Major in severe jeopardy.
NAVI edge out super-team Falcons
In the other blockbuster matchup of the day, Natus Vincere asserted their dominance in Group A with a grueling 2-1 victory over the modified “super-team” of Team Falcons. The win cements NAVI as the first team to qualify for the playoffs at BLAST Open Rotterdam.
The series was heightened by the arrival of Falcons’ young star, Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin, who secured his visa just hours before the match. He immediately made an impact, helping Falcons secure NAVI’s map pick of Mirage 13-9.
However, NAVI showed the resilience that has them flying high recently. They countered Falcons’ firepower with superior team coordination and strategic calling from Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. NAVI stormed back on Inferno, locking it down 13-9.
The decider on Dust2 was a back-and-forth affair until the second half, where NAVI’s standard defensive setup proved impenetrable. They won seven consecutive rounds on the CT-side to shut down Falcons 13-9, denying a red-hot performance from René “TeSeS” Madsen. Despite standard statistical performances from their individual stars, NAVI’s cohesiveness proved to be the difference maker.
NAVI now advance to the Group A Upper Final where they will face Aurora. Falcons drop to the lower bracket where they are scheduled to meet a confident TYLOO.
