BIG has announced on their Twitter that Marcel “hyped” Köhn will be promoted from the academy roster to the main team. Back in early February, 26-year-old Florian “syrsoN” Rische decided to beach himself with immediate effect after some disappointing results from the German roster.

BIG´s new AWPer hyped, has already played with the active lineup of the BIG first team. The 21-year-old stepped in as a stand-in for the German side when they attended the European closed qualifier for IEM Brazil 2023. Going through the lower bracket hyped stood tall against their opponents and secured BIG their qualifier spot. The young AWPer averaged a 1.25 rating across the 12 maps that the German team played throughout the qualifier.
BIG play their next tournament 1st of Match 2023 when they take upon the North American team Complexity at the ESL Pro League Season 17.
