BIG completes flawless 3-0 run to secure Shanghai Major spot

BIG has successfully qualified for the Perfect World Major in Shanghai, delivering an impeccable performance at the European RMR.

Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and his squad capped off their flawless 3-0 run by defeating the CIS underdogs from Passion UA in Friday’s decider match.

Despite an initial setback on Anubis (9-13), where the Ukrainian youngsters showed impressive resilience, BIG rallied back. With stellar individual performances, they took control on Dust2 (13-5) before taking home the final map on Mirage.

That means BIG will be the first team to qualify for the second European RMR tournament, joining the likes of Vitality, NAVI and FaZe.

tabseN and company even skip the first stage of the Major as they enter directly into the later Elimination Stage, due to their top placement in the Swiss stage.

It also marks BIG’s first Major appearance since IEM Rio in 2022, as they failed to qualify for both the BLAST Paris Major and the PGL Major in Copenhagen.
