Many might assume it’s a luxury to enter the Major directly in Stage 3 — like Vitality, MOUZ, and NAVI.
But NAVI head coach Andrij “b1ad3” Ghorodenskyj sees it differently.
Speaking to Pley after NAVI’s opening win over Nemiga, b1ad3 explained why he believes teams that start in the earlier stages actually have a significant edge once Stage 3 begins.
– In my opinion, it’s 100% an advantage starting in Stage 1. I’m 100% sure. From my perspective, you play much better [having been in the competition].
– Any team has this, where they say: ‘It’s only the first match of the tournament, and we need to play 2-3 matches to feel the vibe and to get in tournament shape’. So, considering this aspect, teams from Stage 1 have a huge advantage.
